(right). The fine print at the bottom-right reads Vißcher excudit. I. Houfnagel fecit.. The logo at far bottom-right contains a dedication to Kaiser Ferdinand III. Characteristic features: ・One of earliest bird's-eye views of a city, as opposed to the previously dominating profile views. ・Detailed display of the city and its sourrounding landscape ・Shows the then still medieval appearance of the city before the paradigm shift to baroque style. 
・Shows the nearly finished fortification of the city, intended as a
defense against the Osman Empire. (The part of the old city wall facing
the danube side isn't yet strengthened / rebuilt)

The date is estimated from the county formation (San Benito and Del Norte). This is a remarkable map with twenty vignettes of California scenes and three inset maps showing soil, temperature, and areas. Another inset shows the heights of the Sierra Nevada mountains. All these elements combine to make a beautiful map. Little is know about the maker, Johnstone, except that he drew the Climatic Map of California as well (see our #941). Printed in full color.

This map shows small cafés, restaurants and shops in my neighborhood which I love very much. They all are located along one street named Leipziger Strasse. During the Covid-19 crisis these small businesses are having a hard time. So I think is very important to support them through this difficult time.

Showing Disney scene & characters head towards golden Gate exposition. A promotional map sponsored by Standard Oil Company of California and Travel Tykes Weekly Magazine. The map is filled with vignettes in each of the states and provinces of Canada, showing Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck engaged in activities reflective of the tourism or indigenous commerce or industry of the state. 

Around borders there are comic strip panels from the Travel Tykes Weekly Magazine or from service stations are numbered & were to be cut out & pasted in proper place on the map. On verso shows Mickey and Donald at the Fair, featuring vignettes on the major attractions of the Golden Gate Exposition.

地層の時代が塗り分けされた地図です。1914年に完成することになるパナマ運河の計画図が掲載されています。太平洋と大西洋の間の運河計画は当時、ニカラグアルートも候補に上がっており、そちらも区分図として描かれています。
