How do I allow the use of location information (GPS) on my device?

To show your current location on a map on Stroly or to search for maps near your current location, the location settings of your device or browser must be turned on.

If you see the “Location information is not allowed” message, please check the settings by referring to the following.

※This section introduces the general setting procedure for using location information in a browser, but the setting may change if the OS or browser application is upgraded.
For details, please refer to the manual of each device or browser application.

For iOS (iPhone, iPad)

Step 1: Enable the use of location information in your browser (Safari, Chrome).

1.Open iOS Settings

2.Choose Privacy > Location Services ※If the Location Services is disabled, turn it on.

3.Choose Privacy > Location Services > Safari Websites

4.Choose While Using the App under Allow Location Access

5.Reload the page on the browser after opening a map on Stroly.

6.If a dialogue, “The website “viewer.stroly.com” would like to use your current location.” appears, click Allow or While Using the App. If the dialogue does not appear and your current location is not shown (or you cannot search the map near your current location), please try step 2.

Step 2:Enable the use of location information on stroly.com.

1.Open iOS Setting

2.Choose General > Reset

3.Choose Reset Location & Privacy

4.Enter your passcode

5.Choose Reset Settings

6.Reload the page on the browser after opening a map on Stroly.

7.Choose Allow or While Using the App in the Allow Location Access dialogue.

8.In the dialogue, “The website “viewer.stroly.com” would like to use your current location.”, click Allow.

For Android

Step 1: Enable the use of location information in your browser (Safari, Chrome).

1.Open Settings on Android

2.Choose Settings > Location and move the slider to On.

3.Reload the page on the browser after opening a map on Stroly.

4.If a dialogue, “The website “viewer.stroly.com” would like to use your current location.” appears, click Allow. If the dialogue does not appear and your current location is not shown, please try Step 2.

Step 2: Enable the use of location information on stroly.com (Chrome App).

1.Open Chrome App

2.Choose Settings > Advanced > Site settings

3.Tap Location and move the slider to On.

  • If the Location is blocked, turn it on.
  • f you see https://stroly.com under the Blocked list in Location, tap the URL and tap Allow.

4.Open the Chrome browser and open a map on Stroly.

5. If a dialogue, “The website “viewer.stroly.com” would like to use your current location.” appears, click Allow.

For PC

Chrome

1.Click the three dots on the upper right corner of the Chrome browser.

2.Click Settings, then Security and Privacy.

3.Click Site settings.

4.Click Location and check “Sites can ask for your location” is on.

5.If stroly.com is listed under “Not allowed to see your location”, click Permission > Location > Ask or Allow.

6.Open the Chrome browser and access a map on Stroly.

7.If a dialogue, “The website “viewer.stroly.com” would like to use your current location.” appears, click Allow.

Safari

1.Open Safari > Preferences > Websites > Location

2.If stroly.com is denied to access your location, click Ask or Allow.

3.Open a map on Stroly using the Safari browser.

4.If a dialogue, “The website “viewer.stroly.com” would like to use your current location.” appears, click Allow.

If you are using MacOS, you may need to change your system’s Location Services settings before turning on Location Services in Safari. Please follow these steps.

・Open System Preferences – Security & Privacy – Privacy.
・Click the lock on the bottom left to make changes.
・Tick the check box,  “Enable Location Services”.
