Farrow's map of Manhattan is full of interesting details well rendered,
all of which contribute to an outstanding design and makes this map one of the best pictorial maps of the 1920's in the United States. This appears to be the only major map that Farrow designed. He died young, at age 40. The title cartouche is covered by the printed label which also appears on the map envelope (not present with this copy). Some copies do not have the printed label covering the cartouche.

2020年1月初頭、6年前に訪れた以来ずっと行きたかった台北に行ってきました。
このマップは台北での思ったことや肌に感じたことを雑誌に見立てて製作したものです。

ビジュアルは台北の書店で見た多様なZINEや街中のクリエイティブ、台北で耳にした音楽に影響を受けています。
ズームするとエリアマップやアクセスマップ、雑誌の1ページになり、全体で見ても台北の街を表現しています。

Design of new maps for Ecobici automatic stations, the public bike-sharing system in the city of Buenos Aires. Two kind of maps were developed: a closer one with detailed information within 5 minutes on foot, and another one with a neighbourhood vision within 5 minutes on bicycle. Part of the Legible City project, developed with Estudio Garibaldi for the City of Buenos Aires Secretary of Transport, with the advice of Instituto Ciudad en Movimiento.

Clinton Hill is a treelined Brooklyn neighborhood where artists, writers, makers, students and creatives have lived throughout history, and continue to make their marks today. Spaces for creating, thinking, and collaborating dot the map, creating an atmosphere that's ever-evolving against a backdrop of historic brick row houses and brownstones.

My map depicts the many cafes and community spaces that celebrate the arts, and even a few places that do both (like the women-run Relationships cafe and Playground Coffee Shop). These are places where you can sip coffee surrounded by modern art, places that imagine a more intentionally-designed food system, shops with vintage clothing and furniture, destinations for modern art and music, and even a few historic (maybe unofficial) arts landmarks. It's a special place that has fueled my creativity for years, and I hope you'll find some inspiration here, too.

正保城絵図は、正保元年(1644年)に幕府が諸藩に命じて作成させた城下町の地図です。
城郭内の建造物、石垣の高さ、堀の幅や水深などの軍事情報などが精密に描かれているほか、城下の町割・山川の位置・形が詳細に載されています。
各藩は幕府の命を受けてから数年で絵図を提出し、幕府はこれを早くから紅葉山文庫に収蔵しました。
幕末の同文庫の蔵書目録『増補御書籍目録』には131鋪の所蔵が記録されています。国立公文書館では63鋪の正保城絵図を所蔵しています。昭和61年（1986)国の重要文化財に指定されました。
現在の神奈川県小田原市に、築かれた平山城。城主の名前の記載はありませんが、寛永10年(1633）の地震後の修復を経た稲葉正勝（いなば まさかつ・1597-1634)の時代の様子と思われます。また、西北の隅の部分が切り取られています。原図サイズ：東西3.1メートル×南北2.91メートル。

This place is special to me because I took the leap to move to Hanoi, Vietnam from the UK to have a (drastic!) change of scene and rediscover my creative voice. I am passionate about sustainable fashion and joined Fashion Revolution Vietnam to promote ways of enjoying fashion sustainably through exhibitions and events. I have discovered so many amazing ethical designers, second hand boutiques and winding markets which many people don't know about here, so I wanted to share them through this playful map to begin the adventure for someone else...

Alexander Samuel MacLeod was a painter and printmaker. He was born on Prince Edward Island, Canada. After moving to San Francisco, he continued his artistic training at the California School of Design under Frank Van Sloun. 
 
In 1921, MacLeod arrived in Hawaii, where he worked in the art departments of the magazine Paradise of the Pacific and the local papers, The Honolulu Advertiser and the Honolulu Star-Bulletin. By 1929, he had returned to Canada and resided there for ten years. Again in Hawaii, MacLeod became the director of the graphic art department for the United States Army in the Pacific. 
 
In 1943, he published a book of his Hawaiian prints, The Spirit of Hawaii, Before and After Pearl Harbor. MacLeod retired to Palo Alto, California, where he died in 1956. 
 
Scenes are amazing vignettes and insets of life in Honolulu. An inset piece in center has written: "In this map you will find depicted in pictorial fashion the history, landmarks & customs of these colorful isles. A map of Honolulu and the Sandwich Islands which we know call the Hawaiian Islands."

Unusual and elegant design incorporating Aztec symbols. Emily Edwards was a noted artist of the period. Intended in part as a functional representation of the Mexico City Transit and Power System, the map is a remarkable work of historical and cultural value, celebrated in modern times as one of the most important images of post Revolution Mexico City. While Edwards intended to faithfully represent the tram and lighting system, embellished by historical images of the City, the map also incorporates Mexican cultural traditions, superimposed over an image of Cuauhtémoc, the final Aztec ruler and one of the most iconic Mexican historical images.
