Stroly Viewer v14.0.0 and StrolyCom v6.15 are released

Hello, I’m Ishii from the Stroly development team.

In July, the Gion Festival started in Kyoto, and it seems that the Hakata Gion Yamakasa also started in Fukuoka where I live. I had the opportunity to go to Hakata Station, and decorative yamakasa floats were set up there.

Now let me introduce today’s release details.

Updates for stroly-viewer v14.0.0

Added labels for events scheduled for next month and beyond

The labels were not displayed for events scheduled for next month and beyond in the event information. However, with this update, the label “FUTURE” will now be displayed.

Thumbnails now show a checkmark to indicate which map or map layer is displayed when switching maps

When selecting a map or map layer from “more maps,” it was difficult to determine which one was selected. With the addition of a checkmark icon, it is now easier to see which map or map layer is currently selected.

Redesigned the “more maps” button for PC display

The design of the “more maps” button was previously unified for smartphones and PCs, but with this update, the design for PC display has been optimized.

Fixed the movement of the radar indicating the device’s direction while GPS is active

Stroly’s maps contain multiple maps (layers) with, for example, an overview map that includes zoomed-in maps. When GPS is activated within such maps and the current location is included in each map, a character indicating the current location is displayed within each map, along with a radar indicating the device’s direction.

There was a bug where the direction of the radar would differ for each map. This issue has been fixed in this update, and the radar now correctly indicates the device’s direction in any map.

Improved the design of the “Open Map” button when embedding with iframes

When embedding a map using iframes, the “Open Map” button in the bottom right corner was previously represented only by an icon, making it difficult to understand. The design has been changed to include text alongside the icon for better clarity.

Introduced a mechanism to operate Viewer functions from spot information

When registering a spot from Stroly’s My Page, the registered information will be reflected as a spot displayed in the Viewer. Spot registration includes an HTML editing mode, allowing you to create more attractive content within the spot using HTML/CSS/JavaScript.

With this release, we have introduced a mechanism to operate Viewer functions directly from the spot using JavaScript in HTML editing mode. This is still an experimental feature, so we appreciate your attention to future developments.

Updates for StrolyCom v6.15.0

Removed the “Create Map” menu from the footer menus in the Board Management, Like Management, and Update History screens

Map creation is a function that requires login. Clicking the “Create Map” menu without logging in would redirect to the login page and cause confusion.

Therefore, it was decided to remove the “Create Map” menu, which assumes that the user is logged in, from the footer menus accessible even without login.

Please create maps by accessing the menu from your My Page after logging in, as shown in the image below.

At Stroly, we are constantly developing new features and improving functionality to create an exciting user experience. Please continue to look forward to our release.

We look forward to hearing from all of our users.
