You can upload image files with a maximum length of 12,000px.
The file format is jpg.
Recommended image files are those that have a short side of 8,000px to 10,000px.
If your map contains detailed designs or covers a large area, a larger image with a higher resolution will improve the experience as it will be more zoomable in Viewer.
