<center>平清盛・京の大仏ゆかりの鴨東</center>平安時代後期、松原通の鴨川東には平清盛をはじめとする平氏の六波羅第（ろくはらだい）があり、平氏が滅んだ後の鎌倉時代には、京の警備と朝廷監視のための六波羅政庁(探題)が置かれています。さらに七条通りをまたぐ鴨東には、後白河法皇の院政の舞台となる法住寺殿が造営されています。そして時代を経て、この界隈に豊臣秀吉と秀頼の、京の大仏殿となる方広寺が建てられました。平家物語等でなじみ深い歴史の地を歩き、それぞれの栄枯盛衰の痕跡をたどります。

Nijo Castle is a historic site located in Nakagyo Ward, Kyoto, built by Tokugawa Ieyasu in 1603. It symbolizes the early Edo period samurai government, with highlights including the opulent Ninomaru Palace and beautiful gardens. The castle is also famous as the place where the return of political power to the emperor was declared in 1867. Registered as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1994, Nijo Castle is a valuable spot for learning about Japan's history and culture.

Setsubun (節分) is a festival held on February 2, 3 or 4, one day before the start of spring according to the Japanese lunar calendar🌸 Around this day in 2018, right from Kyoto-U, we walked to Yoshida Shrine, the most famous place to celebrate Setsubun @ Kyoto👹 We also visited Yasaka Shrine which famous for soybean-throwing tradition during Setsubun but sadly we missed it. The celebration on those shrines were very crowded. Understandably, this year, it has been cancelled😷

This is my first attempt in making an illustrated map. So far I enjoyed making it and 100% would do again!!!

Kyoto Setsubun Experience

Going to “The Strip” is the ultimate night out. Not only can you see tons of amazing bands here, but the vibe of the area holds a unique electricity. Despite Los Angeles’ characteristic sprawl, this area has much to love for any rocker in a concentrated place. A fun night out on the Sunset Strip consists of going to the Rainbow Room for pizza and pre-show drinks—where you might have a rock-celebrity sighting—then going off to a show at the Roxy or the Viper Room. After a night of dancing, drinking, and meeting kindred music souls, you could go grab a hot dog at the famous Carney’s. For any music lover living in or visiting Los Angeles, the Sunset Strip is a must-see place!

Estrela is my favorite neighborhood in Lisbon and the place that made me fall in love with the city!

This map acts a little guide for a day trip, with some of my favorite spots for food and drinks, plus some amazing spots for views! Everything's close by, so walking around is easy and fun, but taking the famous number 28 tram will help you out if you legs aren't feeling it while still giving you a great taste of the neighborhood and its little streets and colorful corners. Either way it's a guaranteed good time and I couldn't recommend it enough!

Estrela - Lisbon

The Kurimoto area of Katori City, not far from Narita Airport, is famous for the fantastic sweet potato 'Benikomachi', and the original landscape of the Japanese countryside. Sightseeing spots, hands-on facilities and restaurants where you can experience various harvesting and nature experiences are available on Stroly. You can quickly find a place you want to visit, even if it's your first time.
