In Yoshizaki, there is Chitoseyama, commonly known as 'Gozan'. In 1471, Rennyo, the founder of the Pure Land sect of Buddhism, established a missionary base here, which was visited by many followers and came to be known as 'Yoshizaki Gobo'. Kashima Forest View Spot Yoshizaki Gobo Ruins

Shinshu Otani School Yoshizaki Betsuin (Higashi Betsuin) Temple
A branch temple in Yoshizaki of the Shinshu Otani school (Higashi Honganji). Iwasaki Kannon Historic site
At the end of the Edo period, during the Keio period, there was talk of enshrining Kannon in a rocky room in Iwasaki, praying for safety on the water and happiness for one's family at the boatman's station under Nishigobo. That night, she said to the boatman's bedside, ``I am Rennyo's mother. If you want to honor Kannon, please honor Ishiyama Kannon, which is connected to Rennyo,'' and left. When the boatmen heard this story, they enshrined a stone Buddha that looked exactly like Ishiyama Kanzeon Bodhisattva in the rock chamber. In addition, boat operators also erected stone Buddha statues of Nyoirin Kannon, Fugen Bodhisattva, Child-rearing Kannon, Manjusri Bodhisattva of Wisdom, Yakushi Kannon, Seishi Bodhisattva, and other stone Buddha statues for maritime safety, expressing their wishes.
