Ethnic Instruments Koizumi Rei
musical instrument Rei A store specializing in ethnic musical instruments. This selection is unparalleled in the country. There are many things I have never seen before. The staffs are very kind and even if you are a newcomer, they will carefully explain to you what this instrument is and how to play it. It might change your concept of musical instruments. Maybe once you go, you will be hooked. (By the way, I heard they also have a musical instrument class upstairs.) By the way, I heard a rumor that famous foreign musicians come here when they visit Japan or something... It is quite a famous store. Chinese Restaurant Yang Rei
Chinese Restaurant Rei There has been a lot of talk lately about "Kyoto Chinese restaurants," but I'm sure everyone has a favorite Chinese restaurant in their neighborhood, regardless of the area. Yang is one of them for me. The restaurant is just like a traditional Chinese restaurant in Kyoto (the Yang sign is upside down). It is always crowded with locals, and the owner is always casual in his conversation with customers. The menu ranges from a la carte dishes to set menus. My recommendation is the Tenshinhan! The soup stock is delicious. Rumor has it that you can arrange Tenshindon with pork cutlet, curry flavor, and so on. It is the best Chinese dish that blends Japanese and Western flavors with a dashi broth. Come to think of it, I hear that in Tokyo, many restaurants serve Tenshindon with sweet and sour sauce instead of soup stock! So, it seems that the Chinese soup stock is one of the reasons why this is such a popular menu item. If you come to Kyoto, please try the local Chinese food! Kyoto Art Center Rei
Cultural Facilities Rei I sometimes go to see dances and exhibitions. They are using the former elementary school building as it is, and when I go inside I am amazed at the beauty of the building. It's not like the elementary school I graduated from... Is it really a public school? But the place used as a polling place during elections is also like a former elementary school. The library, information corner, café, etc. are open to the public on a daily basis, even when not hosting events, so it is worth visiting even just to see the building. https://www.kac.or.jp/guidance/ OpeningHoursGallery, Library, Information Corner 10:00 - 20:00 Cafe 10:00 - 20:00 Production Room & Office 10:00 - 22:00 Regular closing dayDecember 28-January 4 URL Official Website Find a route on Google Maps

Ishu Soba Watatsune Rei
Soba noodle Rei It is a buckwheat noodle restaurant that also serves a variety of set menus. It is a traditional teishoku-ya, so you can go in there on a whim, but don't underestimate it. The set menus as well as the soba noodles are Kyoto-style, and the taste is great. The set menus as well as the soba noodles have a great Kyoto-style flavor. You must try their seasonal oyster rice dish in the fall and winter. I was a little surprised to see that a certain lyricist, Takashi Matsuo, who lives in Kyoto, recently posted a picture of it on his Instagram page. It is a restaurant loved by the locals. DIG THE LINE BOTTLE & BAR Rei
Bar Rei This is a craft beer bar run by a company in Kyoto. It is located in Shinpukan (a commercial building), but it is rather easy to enter as it faces Higashinotoin Street. You can enjoy a variety of beers every day, and I guess they have a sour ale, which is quite rare. One of our main points is that we also carry sour ales, which are quite rare in other breweries. If you like sour beer, this is a must try. There is a DJ booth in the bar (the turntable is a SL1200 M7!), and it is recommended for music lovers and record lovers as well. I was also allowed to be the background music several times! I did some research before writing this article and found out that Sakehachi Co. is a former sake brewery. The other restaurants are also delicious, so if you are interested, please visit them. https://sakahachi.jp/ OpeningHours11:00–24:00 URL Official Website SNS Find a route on Google Maps

WEST18 Building Rei
Scenic Spots Rei This is the building on the corner of Karasuma Rokkaku with Family Mart and Starbucks below. The point of this place is to take the elevator. You can see the temple next to the east, Rokkakudo, a tourist attraction, from above. It really is hexagonal! (You may think, "Can I ride the elevator on my own? (I know you may be thinking, "Can I take the elevator?" but there is a gym on the top and a restaurant on the bottom, so just imagine visiting any one of them.) For more information about Rokkakudo, please refer to the official website... The name of the street here is Rokkakudori, which is derived from Rokkakudo. Recently, it was also the topic of a CHANEL event, and the Starbucks on the first floor is said to be famous as the Starbucks with a view of Rokkakudo. How about such a spot in Rokkakudo?

Kyoto Yaichi Honkan Rei
Vegetables Rei A supermarket run by a Kyoto-based company. They sell vegetables directly from farmers, prepared foods made from them, and breads. They also sell Kyoto vegetables, so it is recommended for those who want to feel the Kyoto atmosphere. It is a high-end supermarket, but you can buy seasonal vegetables at surprisingly affordable prices. Mushrooms are always inexpensive. They also sell vegetables that have been chopped and pre-boiled, which is a bit pricey, but very thoughtful. The side dishes are also delicious. (I once met Kaoru when I was trying to buy some side dishes.) The basement of Kyoto Isetan and Umeda Hankyu seem to have a grocery store here. OpeningHours 10:00-21:00 URL Official Website Find a route on Google Maps

Kyoto Vegetable Shop Kanoya Rokkaku Honten Rei
Vegetables Rei Indie grocery store. The otsuji vegetables are really cheap. The selection depends on market conditions, so it's not the best place to go for anything, but I think everyone in the neighborhood uses it (I use it a lot). Sometimes you want green onions and they don't have them, and sometimes they are unusually cheap. Sometimes, when I want to buy green onions, I can't find them, and sometimes they are extremely inexpensive. The cheapest price I have ever seen was 0 yen (!?) for peppermint. You can also find rare Kyoto vegetables, so if you are interested, please take a look! OpeningHours9:00-19:30 Find a route on Google Maps

Stroly Inc. About Us
Machi This is the headquarters of Stroly, the company that makes these maps. Stroly develops and provides a platform for map media that serves as a hub for area attractions and experiences. In addition to this map, Stroly also publishes many other map media that allow you to visit "unique" and "unknown" places around the world. Please come visit us at our official website (stroly.com). Lives in Nakagyo-ku, Kyoto. I like music, dancing, drinking, and digging for records and vintage clothes. I am not a big fan of going out or sightseeing, so I just hang around my neighborhood and enjoy my life, but Kyoto is a compact place that even such a person can enjoy quite a bit with a walk and a bicycle. I would be happy to share local and extended everyday fun, including local supermarkets and strolling spots. Rei Kaoru Born and raised in Kyoto. Likes music, walking, coffee shops, houseplants, and manga. The Corona disaster got me hooked on walking, and on my days off I wander west and east. The spots I have chosen here are not the busy tourist spots, but places where you can relax, coffee shops and quaint eateries that are far from "picturesque" and have a local feel to them. We have a lot of local restaurants and cafes, which are far from "fancy". If you want to enjoy Kyoto as if you were living there, please take a look. I moved to Kyoto 3 years ago. I like music, camping, drinking, and cooking. On weekends, I either go camping, go to the city for good food and drinks, or work on my music. Kyoto is not only full of great stores and places, but also has a very interesting culture and human life based there. I hope you will find your favorite place in Kyoto. Sakura Kentaro Originally from Osaka Prefecture, I began traveling 1.5 hours each way to Kyoto to visit when I was a university student (often 4 times a week). I found myself coming across so many interesting places and people that I decided to live in Kyoto, and now I think that my encounter with Stroly was a result of my eagerness to experience Kyoto as a university student. The spots on this map are all places where Stroly members are still working hard. Born in Ishikawa, Japan. Lives in Kyoto. Likes music, big baths, ramen noodles, and hills. When I go away, I want to climb a hill. I have been feeling that a view with a good view refreshes my mind for the past few years. The spots I introduce are mostly rec shops and bars. After all, I want to share the things I like. Keisuke URL official website(stroly.com)

Curry shop Sakura I like the atmosphere of the restaurant! The volume of food is very generous and energizing. The "Curry Aristocrat Course" is inexpensive, delicious, and very satisfying. The manager said, "I'm good at making curry! He said. The food other than curry is also superb! Are you a spice wizard? You can also drink alcohol. #Fantasy Science Creation Curry OpeningHours11:00〜15:30(L.O15:00) 18:00〜23:00(L.O 22:00) Regular closing dayWednesday SNS Find a route on Google Maps

Meat Cuisine Arakawa Sakura
Meat dish Sakura We have decided to go there every year for our wedding anniversary. It is an artisan store that accelerates our reward day. I feel the "pole". The kitchen is cool too. They put more and more delicious garlic chips on my plate that I don't even know what they mean, but I almost said, "Could this be a flower shower?" I almost said. Now I'm going to tell you something important. Make sure you order the beef tongue. OpeningHours17:00~23:00 Regular closing daySunday URL Official Website Find a route on Google Maps

Japanese food Sakura I would go back every week if I could...go!" I wish I could go back every week! The "usual" would be the mussel sashimi, if available. If they have "Tropical", you should definitely order it. It is a drinkable treasure. LE SILLAGE FRAGRANCE SHOP KYOTO Sakura
Perfume Shop Sakura This is a niche perfume specialty store. It's like a salon, where you can take a journey to find the perfume of your destiny while talking with the manager about various things. The vibes of the perfume descriptions (maybe there is another way to say it that is more stylish) are so high that I want to decorate my house. I take all my good friends there. Mughal Sakura
Indian Cuisine Sakura We went there because we heard a rumor that it was patronized by the Indian Embassy. It is not a curry restaurant, but an Indian restaurant where you can enjoy various Indian dishes. The potato salad was delicious. For curry, I recommend the shrimp curry and the sag curry. The spices and colorful flavors will make you feel refreshed. At the end of the meal, you will be served with spices to refresh your taste buds. After you feel refreshed, let's go out to Kiyamachi with a fiery spirit! Picaro Eis Sakura
Ice cream Sakura The shop is located on Azuki Alley next to a public bath called Daikokuyu (this is important!). The store is located in ajiji alley next to a public bath called Daikokuyu (this is important!). Entering through the tiny little entrance, you are greeted by a nice dance music playing. There is a line of ice cream made from ingredients you have never seen or heard of, and the menu changes every week. If there is one, you should try the moss ice cream. It is a magical experience, as if images flow into your mind (like a majestic forest). It's a bad experience. And you can eat it at the end of the bath... You'll go crazy... cafe la siesta 8bit edition!!! Sakura
Cafe bar Sakura It is a second family home. (You will be welcomed by the retro game-like interior and the soft-bodied master, Mr. Kota. It is a cafe and bar, but it is a paradise with original cocktails and food, all of which are amazingly delicious! (The cafe and bar is a hangout for fun-loving, kind-hearted musicians, and hosts a variety of events, including DJs, live music, and talk shows. My "usual" is a highball or Adventure Island (without the island). My favorites are the omelette rice and Thai curry ramen. The limited time offer rice is also very tasty, so be sure to try it.
