The spring never running dry

An ancient water field. It seems that it does not wither for some reason. It used to be used as a horse drinking place in the past.

The well

Kuroi was named Kuroi(黒井, Black well) because the geology of Kuroi was bad and the water was dark. In Kuroi, drinking water had can be drawn only in three places in the Jojuzi Temple of west and in the the Oyama district and the Shibamachi district of east.

The jizo of signpost

The signpost is dug in the Jizo Bodhisattva body as if it is hidden in the bib of the body. In one theory it is said that he dug in the Jizo body to prevent mischief.

It was called "Nishizige(西地下)" in the sense of "the end of the west city". In the past, farmers lived here.

Fukuga Hill

Keywords Tokunaga Iemitsu, Kasuga No Tsubone It is said that Kasuga No Tsubone(春日局, also Saito Fuku, 斎藤福) known as Tokunaga Iemitsu(徳川家光)'s nanny is playing on this road in her young age. Since her name is "Fuku", this road has come to be called Fukuga Hill.

Matoba Hill

In the past, this place has used practice of archery. It is now a rice terrace, but traces of the time are left.

Jyojuzi Temple (Nishinobou)

Long ago, this temple had the role of a fortress, so soldiers were stationed. When the enemies attacked, the soldiers fought here to prevent enemies from entering the city.
