The “Samurai Residence Area” features a tree-lined street designed to reflect the atmosphere of the former castle town of the Satsuma Domain, lined with beautiful residences and gardens. In the “Peace Park Area,” you will find the Chiran Peace Museum for Kamikaze Pilots, which preserves and passes on the historical record to future generations, as well as the surrounding Peace Park, located on the site of a former Imperial Japanese Army special attack airbase.
