    Located between Toyosu and Ariake, the green belt floating on Shinonome Canal was once filled up as a breakwater. Currently, it cannot be accessed by foot and serves as a mere green space. In fact, it was there before Toyosu Wharf and Ariake were reclaimed.

    The former site of the lumberyard can be seen when viewing the canal from the open space of the Toyosu 1-chome tower condominiums or from the Harumi Bridge. The lumberyard is a place where trees cut for construction are stored underwater to prevent them from drying out. The Toyosu lumberyard is no longer in use as it was consolidated into the Shin-Kiba lumberyard.

    There is a large collection of monuments documenting the history of the shipyard near the Memorial Dock. Some of the objects were actually used during the shipyard era, allowing visitors to see industrial remains up close and personal. There are also signs posted to let you know the location of all the monuments, so try to find them all!

    If you look closely, the interrupted rail at the Yurikamome Toyosu Station bends in a northwesterly direction. This is because the Yurikamome Line was envisioned to be extended toward Kachidoki at the time of its construction.

    This is the first 7-Eleven store in Japan, which opened in 1974. After the war, Toyosu became a residential community with factories, residences, and stores, as well as elementary and junior high schools. The first 7-Eleven store was once a liquor store.

    This cylindrical building is called the TEPCO Toyosu Building. It is dubbed the Big Drum because of the cylindrical shape of the building, which is 140 meters in diameter. There is a data center on the ground level and a substation in the basement, which is well-known as the world's first underground 500,000-volt substation. It still supports Tokyo's energy needs from the site of the Shin-Tokyo Thermal Power Station, which was an energy base that supported postwar reconstruction.

    Todenbori is an inlet of the Shinonome Canal. Its name was derived from the fact that it was a landing place for ships carrying coal and oil, the fuel for the Shin-Tokyo Thermal Power Station. There is a slope used by the amphibious bus "Sky Duck," which makes entering the water an exhilarating experience! Many events unique to the waterfront space are held, such as boat cafes and marine sports.
