Kyoto is also the season of autumn leaves finally! I drew autumnal leaves MAP which is a special place of our house, that might not be known to everyone.

Renge-ji Temple
The temple is popular for its “Picture Frame Garden”. The garden features “painting-like” views thanks to its framed architecture. The stone called "funa(ship)-ishi(stone)" set in the pond looks so real that it will make you feel like its about to move at any moment!

Kyoto Botanical Gardens
Bright red, yellow, golden brown, and translucent white leaves! Visit and enjoy the different autumn color shades of maple trees and foliage!

Tadasu Forest, Shimogamo Shrine
An intact forest in the middle of the city. Leaves change color so slowly here that you can enjoy them even until the month of December.

Murin-an
The sound of flowing water always brings up pleasant feelings. Currently, one of the best gardens and all thanks to master craftsmanship!

Chouon-tei, Kenni-ji Temple
The garden looks remarkable from any direction, and all angle become its front.

Kyoto Gosho (Imperial Palace)
Locals love to spend their time off relaxing here. Don’t miss the golden carpet of huge ginkgo tree leaves!

Himukai Daijingu Shrine
Love fall foliage = A shrine located along the valley. The trees that grow naturally here turn into vivid red.

Suzaku-no-niwa Garden, Umekoji Park
“Sakasa Momiji”, the red leaves reflecting on a pond is such a stunning view! The illuminated autumn foliage at night looks mysterious and beautiful.

Shosei-en Garden
Very close to Kyoto station, yet you will find it quiet. The scenery changes on every step you take. Our family’s favorite place to go see the fall colors!

Gohoudou Benzaiten
You can find very few tourists here. A well-kept-secret location!

Komyo-in, Tofuku-ji Temple
In fully crowded Tofuku-ji Temple, this is a hidden peaceful spot where you can enjoy the contrast of red autumn leaves and green moss. In the artistic garden, 75 stones are placed as if they are radiating light.

Kameyama-koen Park
Only this park can offer a breathtaking panoramic view! Enjoy the whole scenery of the valley and mountains blazoned with autumnal color.
