I'm not originally from Orlando, but I like to say that our little family is "from" Orlando since my husband and I both went to school here, met, got married, and had two babies in the City Beautiful. During our time as Orlando residents, we loved to get takeout from a restaurant or grab a drink + dessert from a cafe or pick up fixin's for a perfect picnic and sit together under the warm sunshine in one of Orlando's many green parks. We also have a thing for books and our idea of a lovely day is lounging on a picnic blanket with good reads and great eats.

Being invited on holiday ten years ago by family friends when I was just 15 was the beginning of many years of adventures in this special town in Austria. Their love for it prompted it to become a home from home for them and I am privileged to have shared many trips, celebrating birthdays, Christmas and seeing in New Year surrounded by family and friends. I learned to ski in these beautiful mountains and have spent many hours having fun exploring the town and the local area. Schladming is special to me not only because of the breath-taking scenery, beautiful churches and quirky bars and restaurants but because of the memories I have made there with the people I love. My next visit in a few short weeks will see us toasting in 2020 and may my adventures long continue in this beautiful little place.

This place is special to me because it’s charm and delicious food stole my heart. One of the first things I saw in Charleston was a happy family of dolphins swimming in the harbor, which is something I had never seen before.  New experiences like the wildlife made me feel connected to this small city. As we looked over the menu at Fleet Landing I saw a heron outside who was also looking for its dinner. I wanted to make this map highlighting the food we had in Charleston because of the people behind the food who cared about what they cooked and the experience they provided. The restaurants and landmarks I illustrated are just some of the many great places Charleston has to offer.

Art in Hanoi is a map of my favourite creative places and projects in the incredible capital of Vietnam from a year of living there as an expat from the UK in 2018 - 19. The places on this map are everything from incredible cafes serving the best cocktails alongside exhibitions of international and local artists, contemporary galleries, residency programmes partnering with traditional family-run ceramic studios and many more. Hanoi is bursting with creativity and is well worth exploring - even from your sofa!

I grew up around artists, politicians, messy kids, ex-cons, cranky neighbors, activists and community busy-bodies. I was 4 months old when my parents moved our family from the suburbs to a house just two blocks shy of the projects in Knoxville, TN. Growing up, I never felt like my normal wasn’t “normal.” We were people learning and growing with the community around us. And Knoxville? It was changing. A slow, steady, thoughtful change. Over the years Knoxville has flourished in so many different ways while continuing to push for even more change. There were definitely moments when I thought for sure I would move. What can a small town like Knoxville offer me as an artist?! It turns out...a lot...even a living making art. I’m grateful for Knoxville and all of the ways it has taught me to love, learn, listen and grow. I was born/raised here, I've learned difficult lessons here, I've celebrated wins here, and I've felt the love of a honest/supportive community. Knoxville is home.

On the night of November 6, 1983, a 12-year-old Will Byers was taken by a monster called the Demogorgon to an alternative dimension called the Upside Down. Will experiences a week of harrowing survival in the Upside Down by hiding from the Demogorgon while his family and friends desperately search for him.

Each location on this map based in Atlanta where Stranger Things was filmed, tells a story describing the scenes and Will's state of mind.

A beautiful example of A. J. Johnson’s 1866 map of Florida. This rare map offers a fascinating snapshot of this secessionist state shortly following the close of the American Civil War. Map shows the state in full with color coding according to county. Cartographically this map is
probably based on U.S. Land Survey charts commissioned in the mid-1850s. Makes numerous references to American Indian tribes and to forts and battles sites related to the Seminole Wars. Notes Lake
Okeechobee, the Everglades, the Indian Hunting Grounds, Biscayne Bay,
Tampa Bay and the Okefenokee Swamp. Also shows the course of a proposed canal route leading from Tampa to the Atlantic. The Arredondo Grant is included just to the west of St. Augustine. The Arredondo Grant was a layover of the Spanish Land Grant program, which bequeathed it to a powerful Spanish merchant - Arredondo. With incredible difficulty and protest, the land grants were dissolved when Florida became part of the United States. Nonetheless the Arredondo Grand proved tenacious appearing on mappings of this region well into the late 19th century. An inset map in the lower left hand quadrant details the Florida Keys.
Features the fretwork style border common to Johnson’s atlas work from 1863 to 1869. Published by A. J. Johnson and Ward as plate number 43 in the 1866 edition of Johnson’s New Illustrated Family Atlas. This is the last edition of the Johnson Atlas to bear the Johnson and Ward imprint.

The map is filled with vignettes in each of the states and provinces of Canada, showing Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck engaged in activities reflective of the tourism or indigenous commerce or industry of the state. 

Around borders there are comic strip panels from the Travel Tykes Weekly Magazine or from service stations are numbered & were to be cut out & pasted in proper place on the map. On verso shows Mickey and Donald at the Fair, featuring vignettes on the major attractions of the Golden Gate Exposition.
